This is a treasure I'm looking forward too.
This flower is on a spindly stick that pokes out of our hedge.
For 9 months of the year you wouldn't even notice the tree struggling to survive in there.
Then each Spring a few green shoots appear and tiny pink buds form. By the end of Spring we have beautiful pendulous racimes of pink deliciousness.
Not a lot mind you and never for long. Just a fleeting glimpse of absolute beauty.
I don't even know it's name.

Oh it's so lovely Sue !
Thanks for showing us and playing along .
I always marvel at how nature produces something so beautiful from what appears to be a lifeless stick. Just lovely.
Oh what a gorgeous flower , I would be happy to see such beauty as well , enjoy your special treasure .
Oh my goodness that is just divine!!! Pity it only comes around once or twice a year, but it's worth the wait!! Perhaps an orchid or a ginger...?
I just love pink flowers and these are gorgeous! Isn't it a shame that they don't last long, I always say flowers should bloom forever! lol I have Delphiniums that are still blooming which shocks me because I thought they were done and then one morning I noticed it had new shoots and now they've all flowered again. Don't know how long they'll last, though, since it went down to 4c last night...brrrrrr! xoxo
Just beautiful!!!!! I too would like to know if it has a lovely fragrance.
Taking Flat Princess to my board meeting this morning. Have just started on this project due to some things going on here that took my time and attention. (All is well now) I hope to have her adventures up next week! :o)
Beautiful pic of a flower!
