Vaudeville was smokin'

This li'l town we live in is often starved for entertainment.
So when The Theatre Royale Vaudeville Troup,  3 elderly but very funny people came to town,
we bought tickets to see the show.
Maria came along too and we had a nice lunch and a few good laughs for the price of our tickets.

After the afternoon show we emerged into bright sunlight to see a
huge plume of smoke billowing across the sky.

The fire was behind our house and not far from Maria's either but her place was getting all the smoke.
Now 24 hours later there are still smoldering patches and people are keeping watch. I hate bush fires, we lived for 28 years in the Perth hills and every Summer there were fires to deal with. Scary.

So nice to go off to a show - I never realised you and Maria lived so close nearby.... it's a bit scary that fires are already happening - I guess with the good winter rains there is a lot of fuel available!
Have a lovely week....

Hello Sue,

Stay safe, I saw a fire over the hill the other week, it was someone burning of there block but it tends to scare you. Those three entertainers had some great props. I am sure the show was fun.
Happy days.

I wish I could have seen the show. I love to see "older" people doing comedy.

Halloween

The night is dark
and the goblins are out,
and the witches and black cats
are prowling about.

And costumed creatures
the strangest I've seen,
are knocking on doors
'cause tonight's Halloween!

Happy Halloween Sue:-) That vaudeville show sounds like it was excellent entertainment!! I so hate it when fire season starts, hopefully they won't become too much of a problem in your area. xoxo

The show sounds wonderful but coming out to fire does not sound so good - just the thought of bush fires scares me. I'm praying for your area.

I heard that you had fires around but not until last night, I'm sending rainy thoughts for you...
Stay safe..
