My first swim for the Summer

Today I joined the "Wallow and Bob Society" as they lined up at the beach.
I was finally ready for my first swim this season.
It was a little cool but we all enjoyed ourselves.
I think I see few of the swimmers shivering just a little as they lower themselves gingerly into the water.

Then we all went off for a cafe breakfast to celebrate Maria's birthday,
Here she is being showered with gifts.

And I finally remembered to pick up this painting I'd bought from a recent exhibition.
A watercolour by local artist Raelene Spencer.
I love Raelene's work especially this one of wild ducks on the edge of the Swan river.
The background shows the area where I grew up.

No sewing to show but I plan to spend this weekend getting a bit done....
maybe some pics of it next post.

My friends and I talked about an Iowa Bob and Wallow Society all summer in one of the local lakes/water holes, but did not get it done. The concept just thrills me. Good on all of you!!! ~~Sue

Hello Sue,

So glad you enjoyed your first swim. My sister-in-law has been swimming down at Avalon Beach already this year. She said the same as you it is beautiful once you get in. Love the painting you purchased. Happy days.
