Sometimes you meet someone who has a profound effect on your life.
This happened to me last week!
I went to a seminar by Ricky Tims, now some of you probably know about him.
He has a show on the interweb "The Quilt Show" with Alex Anderson,
he is a well known quilter, designer, bookwriter, musician and teacher.
What I wasn't expecting was the down to earth way this "Texan in Boots" spoke,
the hilarious sense of humour, the generous sharing of his knowledge and his life
and the all creative inspiration that was flowing through the theatre for the audience to absorb.
I can't decide whether to make a Kool Kaleidiscope first
or a Rhapsody Quilt.
The colours are amazing, the hand dyed fabrics beautiful, the workmanship exquisite!
I'm still giggling when I remember his funny stories,
here he is acting like a Carp!
I'm so inspired I just have to start sewing right now.
If you ever get the chance to meet Ricky and attend one of his seminars don't miss your chance.

Hello Sue,
I found his site and was very impressed. I noticed the State Library has some of his books, will be ordering these.
Happy days.
