Time to sew

Life has quietened down a little now.
The grandies have returned home, the house is a tiny bit tidier and my sewing machines are all mine.
My sister, Jill, became a grandmother for the tenth time yesterday. I'm a bit excited because my youngest grandy is already off to preschool this year.........we are fresh out of babies!
So Great Aunt Susan (that's me) has made brand new little Sophie Elizabeth a snuggly quilt.

A simple Rail Fence design in pink and aqua with lots of white.

The quilting has butterflies scattered through the stippled pattern and I'll finish it off with a scrappy pieced binding using up all the coloured pieces.
I hope Sophie gets lots of use from her quilt when she is a bit bigger.

She doesn't look very interested right now........bless her.
