A gift from Dougal

"Auntie Sue, Auntie Sue"  Dougal called  "I have a present for you". My 5 year old neighbour's eyes were shining with pleasure as he handed me the carefully decorated bag.

"Do you, Dougal?  Lucky me" "I wonder what it is"

"It's special, Auntie Sue" he said "I wrote a letter for you too"

"Oh! Dougal, thank you, I wonder what it is, look, I see feathers and what's this in the little bag"

"See Auntie Sue, it's a frog...but it's dead"
"Yes Dougal, it's a dead frog, lucky me. I didn't have one of those"

What would the world be like without little boys?

You should get some of that plastic we used to encase things in- you know back in the 1970's? And make a paperweight out of the frog.

If you know his birthday - you could make him a froggie pillow or I made a friend a froggie rug and it was cute, cute.!
