Main Street Rush Hour

It's been chilly and wet here the past couple of days. Probably not as chilly as most of you would think, we don't get snow or ice or even hail....well not often in this temperate climate of ours.
When it does rain no one ventures outdoors. Not like in London or Melbourne and I'm sure other places I haven't been to, where people don coats and scarves and out they go. The locals in this little town know it will probably be  sunny tomorrow and the errands can wait.
This is our main street in rush hour.
I stood right in the middle of the road and took a snap looking west, then one looking east.
Aren't the trees lovely? They are Moreton Bay Figs and some of them are over 100 years old.
When there is a festival in town, the streets are festooned with bunting, market stalls spring up and people throng the roads and paths very glad of the shady trees overhead.

I love your main street, it looks like mine except we have Oak trees, same traffic though!

Glad you didn't get smooshed! Sometimes a rainy day is just what you need. Helps a good sulky mood :o)
Love your pirate quilt. It looks fabulous!

Can't beat a street lined with Moreton Bay lovelies - especially when they come over all festival, snazzy-like.
