Friday night and I have plans

I love Fridays. Two whole days ahead to sew. Yipee!
I need to perfect my Christmas Inchies for quiltinggallery's swap and I've 3 sets of cobblestone blocks to get done for a SCquilter's swap and I'm still putting together 25 goodies for Christine for the Advent swap. Busy times this weekend.

Somewhere along the line I need to get the week's laundry done and I've booked two seats for Saturday morning's "The Gardening Gurus" talk here in town.
Joe and I plan to learn all that we are doing wrong in our gardening technique.
Our area has strong salty winds, aquaphobic soil and lots of snails.
We need help and lots of it!

Here's a pic of my first attempt at making one of those pesky lil Inchies. In fact it does look better in the flesh. This photo makes it look as if the satin stiched edge has missed but it is really the light reflecting from the gold thread. My next ones will be better tho'.

The inchies are lovely. I had to drop out of the swap.

I don't envy you your gardening conditions, I have enough with this being the land of slugs and snails - yuk.

I think the ornament is really lovely! I haven't tried inchies myself, but they look like loads of fun! I think your weekend sounds divine! It's funny being on the other side of the world: you're thinking of everything you need to do to get your garden started while I'm thinking of everything I need to do to put mine to rest. :-)
