It's Springtime in Australia

Today was the day I'd been waiting for.
It was May when I entered the Spring Blooms Mini Quilt Swap on quiltinggallery.com, I'd never entered a swap before and with great trepidation I made and posted off my little quilt quite quickly...long before the deadline...and I waited, remembering that I'd been speedy with my task and other people might need more time. Late July should see something arrive for me.....surely in August a parcel would arrive.
Then I posted off my Summer Swap Mini and the Friendship Bag  to addresses across the world, had replies from those who received my offerings and still nothing comes back to my little post office box for me.
I didn't like to complain but maybe the sender was waiting for my reply to her gift, I couldn't just ignore it...I had to find out what happened.
Michele was quick to contact my secret partner, who  in turn let me know that she HAD made a quilt for me. Mary Jane packed it up to move house and now after trying to unpack & settle in to her new home as well as looking after her family of seven children had given up trying to find it and was making me another.
How spoilt and special I felt that the lovely Mary Jane would trouble herself to do that for me.
Here it is, the most beautiful little butterfly quilt and a lovely book to enjoy as well. Thanks so much Mary Jane. I truly appreciate all the effort you went to.

Excitment mounts as I prepare to open the envelope.
Ta Dah!! Absolutely worth waiting for. I love it's bright colours and sweet fabrics.

So glad that your quilt finally arrived. The waiting is terrible when you don't know where it's coming from.
