Friday Night Sew In.
This is the first sewing I've done for a week. After the frenzy of finishing off all the quilts I'd entered in the Public Hanging last weekend I was a bit shattered and needed a little break. Well I'm right back into it again and am keen to finish off this BoM "Red Delicious" from Esther Aliu.
The pile on the left are the blocks I'd done before and the ones on the right are from Friday.
Only a few more to go and I'll have another flimsy.
Last week I bought a little kit to make chenille. Something I'd never tried before, in fact I'd never even heard of making it yourself!
Then Lo & Behold! Esther has used it in her pattern, I'd had the information all along and didn't realise...............
I also learnt that it is VERY important to sew straight lines......................

Hello Sue,
Love your Red quilt, but I see you have stolen one of my ladybirds!!!
How easy is the chenile work?
Have a great weekend.

Sue is that red flower what you made with the chenille? I am trying some and did 3 thicknesses - I did a big square and then was chenille cutting through 2 layers ...... guess what after all the painful stitching I cut through all 3 layers diagonally - so now I have 2 large triangles!!!! Aaargh. I will wait till another day to try again!
