Tuesday Treasures

It's a bit tricky to turn what I really want to post about into a Tuesday Treasure but I'll give it a shot.

A few years ago I did a series of funny little water colour drawings in the hope that I could sell them to a greeting card publisher. I was of course, rejected, like most who aspire to overnight fame and fortune.
The drawings sat in my facebook albums quietly waiting until a dear quilty friend, Robyn spotted this one I 'd creatively called "Riding School Mounts" (What was I thinking?) and asked my permission to use it as a quilt design

.

Well here's her finished quilt and on Sunday it won
"Viewers Choice" at the "Geraldton Patchwork Fair".
Isn't Robyn clever? I love how she's made it into a night scene.
I'm so thrilled for her and  feeling very much like a proud mother too.
If we knew how.... we'd turn it into a pdf pattern and let you all share it.
More Tuesday Treasures can be found at Clare's Craftroom.

Well I've already told you that I really like this, so I guess we'll have to work on how to do the PDF? I can do pdf's but you would have to draw out the pattern first then I could convert it for you...??? We've got nothing else to do so why not??

a lovely treasure - maybe quilt designs will replace greeting card designs?

Clever you. I wish I could draw. A great treasure. Having a quilt made from your art is much more stunning than a gift card.
