Totally rested

I'm home today after four wonderful restful days quilting and so happy to record my memories on my proper computer! Not that I don't love, love, love my ipad but I still have so much to learn about it and I sort of know this old codger now. I can put in lots of photos and write words next to them too.
The long drive down to Shoalwater....scooting past our local snowfields!
A close up visit to Cottesloe Beach to enjoy the sights of "Sculptures by the Sea".

Then the final stop St John of God Retreat Centre, Shoalwater
Where we dressed for fun times, sewed an abundance of quilts,
froliced in the ocean and laughed and laughed.
If you are a SCQuilter you might just recognise some of these faces.

 The gardens there are magnificent
and a beautiful beach is just a short stroll away.
Then today meant another long, long drive home.....
and what's that without a detour because of yet another bushfire?
Luckily this one was only an extra 10 kms but all on very dusty gravel tracks along with
dozens of huge "dust stirring" trucks.
I swear these were more dangerous than the fire!
