At last a quiet day......

It's been pretty busy around here for a few days.
My quilting group was having a tea party and there was a bit of work to do.
The amazing Helen came up with the idea of a formal High Tea.
Have you ever been to a High Tea?
Delicate little cakes, cucumber sandwiches, tiny bites of yumminess,
piping hot tea from pretty teapots, a real ladies' day out.
Helen planned and worked towards creating this wonderful day for us to share.

We all chipped in to help though and lessen the load for her

Bunting was made to set a festive mood.

Cleaning and clearing was done around  the very old buildings and quilts were hung
everywhere we could fit them, there's nothing like a row of quilts to cheer up a place.

A great deal of baking was done to feed the guests,
our friends from Geraldton Patchwork Club.

and then it was time to sit down and enjoy a cuppa.
These little "Cup Cake" pin cushions were the door prizes.

Some enthusiastic ladies brought along some hand sewing.

Some came to admire the view of the river

Photos were taken and posed for.

We were also lucky enough to see artwork by the DAGs
(Dongara Art Group)
They set up this wonderful display for our guests.

And sadly all too soon it was time for the guests to head home.

Then the clearing up began.
Helen, the day was fantastic, you did a great job.
Everyone had a fabulous time.

Thank you to my readers for sharing in the High Tea too.
