A string of bunting
This is for my friend Ros. She is planning a display of "rustic charm" at our Public Hanging in October.
And a teeny, tiny quilt. I made this from go to whoa this afternoon and evening. It would have been much quicker if I have sewn it straight the first time.
Oops, it's not very straight the second time either.
Technically this "schoolboy's cap" is a retreat finish too. We dressed to celebrated our Skooldays last night.......I thought I'd aim to look like Just William or maybe Billy Bunter!
The cap was whipped up before hand from 3 squares of felt and a plastic ice cream lid.
I thought it looked the part until all my mates told me I looked just like Benny Hill. Yikes!

Benny Hill!! Nah... you need a milkman's hat for that one!! That was some retreat... the lot of you are mad. Looks like loads of fun was had by all.
Benny Hill! Nah... you friends are just yanking your chain. You do look the part as a naughty schoolboy though! That was some retreat.... you lot are mad!! Wish your group were closer... I'd be knocking on the door to join up!
it looks like you had a ball and got some wonderful crafting done!
How harsh saying you were channelling Benny Hill.
though you do look like a naughty school boy...
Ha ha Sue great post...and great little quilt in a day!
Looks like you guys had a ball!! Love the dress up idea and I love the bunting too.
Cheers, Anita.
Hello Sue,
You need to reprint some of these photo's in Black and White or Sepia and make a quilt or table mats for each other.
p.s. did you have to write lines as a kid?
Happy days.
