The Lone Star State...Texas

Off to the Cadillac Ranch, Amarillo.
We needed a quick stop at Walmart to buy some spray paint.

The bloke and I had planned our design, so we bought red, white and blue!

Then while I went off to admire the rest of the paintings, our little town had it's 15 minutes of fame.

Even Billy Connolly has left his mark here.

We had no sooner finished taking our photos and new artwork was being applied.....I think the 15 minutes became 15 seconds of fame.
Ricky Tims' idea lasted so much longer.......he wore socks but his toenails are still multi coloured a few days later!

The half way mark and we had to buy a trashy souvenir for our DS1, whose name is Adrian!

We squeezed in a visit to Quilted Bliss too, these guys really spoilt us with treat bags of goodies, cold drinks and a welcoming sign.
Then off to see a musical wildwest show with a Texan Barbeque dinner, singing, dancing, horses and fireworks all set against a canyon wall. A late night for us.

We are loving our tour of Route 66 with Ricky Tims, its so much fun and there's such a lot to see.
This is just the half way point, lots more to go.
