It's almost Spring

The sun is shining and although the days are cool, if I can find a spot out of the breeze I can almost feel winter melting.
Listening to me whinging about being cold!
Our Winter's are not ferocious here, hardly any frosts, never enough rain and certainly never ever any snow but our house is built for Summer, wide shady verandahs, thick stone walls and high ceilings, windows opening to the cool side of the house to catch breezes. We hardly ever turn on the airconditioner in Summer.
Winter is another story, quilts are piled onto beds, the fire is lit and fed with huge logs, we snuggle in right up close to the flames in the evenings and the days are spent looking for sunny nooks in the garden out of the wind and chill. I've even been caught sitting in the car with a good book.

Today is sunny enough for photos of my newest quilt, pretty Spring colours.

The last stitches were done on the binding and then straight outside to take some snaps.

Another quilt ready for our Public Hanging in October.

Sue, that little quilt is so pretty!
I have enjoyed sitting in the car in winter to read also. Of course there is a danger of getting so cosy that i fall asleep.

I envy you heading into spring as I really do not like the shortened days and chilly days.
