Busy Days

I've been trying to keep busy while DH has been working away from home. This week I was successful and time has flown.
My dear friend Gay has been here for a few days and we had all sorts of fun and laughs. I took her along to Patch on Thursday night, we managed a few swims in the ocean, plenty of eating, a glass of wine or two and oh so much chit chat! Gay even trimmed my hedges for me while I was at work one afternoon.
When we moved 400kms to this town 7 years ago I left behind a lifetime collection of good friends and  I miss them. Gay & I have known each other for nearly 30 years, we've been partners in so many "Get Rich Slow" schemes...mostly centred around crafts and sewing...and I love it when she visits me.

Last night I went all by myself to the local Drive-In theatre to see "Alice in Wonderland". I heard it was a good movie but don't ask me.... I snoozed through most of it! It was a cool evening and I took along a cosy jacket and a quilt. All snuggled up in the car with no one to talk to..... No wonder I fell asleep.

Today The Patch held another dyeing day. Go there to see lots of pics.

Another week has finished and my bloke will be home again in 22 sleeps. Not that I'm counting!

Sue - I am so happy that you have had such a special time. There is nothing like spending time with friends. Shame Gay could not have stayed and went to the movie with you - then you two would have talked and stil not seen all the movie. LOL

When you mentioned that your red colors turned orange -it made me remember when I was doing ceramics and RED was the one color that always put up a fight! :)
